I have seven years of diverse experience in designing, evaluating, and implementing learning materials; teaching; training; and leading. I am proficient in adult learning theory application, program planning, project management, and marketing. Over the years, I have grown adept at fostering relationships, driving positive change, and effectively communicating complex ideas. I hold an MEd in Education Technology and Instructional Design and a certification in project management (Certified Associate in Project Management).

My learning design and development process begins with ensuring I understand learner needs and the desired outcomes of the learning. I apply adult learning principles to determine the types of learning activities, objects, and interactions will be most appropriate inspire action and success. I believe creativity plays an important role in teaching, learning, and problem solving, and work to ensure that learners are engaged and active in their own development.

My Process

When developing learning solutions, I generally choose to follow a backwards design approach (Understanding by Design). In order to build a successful learning experience, I want a solid understanding of the ideal learning outcome. This allows me to build learning solutions that meet objectives and achieve desired results.

I also prefer an agile process, where revisions, feedback, and recommendations can be discussed and incorporated throughout the project.
